R.I.P. Jane Barkin (1946-2023)
Jane Mallory Birkin (14 December 1946 – 16 July 2023) who suddenly became a star this year was an English singer-songwriter, actor and model. Apparently, she became a real star this July. Born in London, Barkin debuted in 1964 with the play “Carving a State” and began his career as a movie actor, appearing as minor characters in Michelangelo Antonioni’s films “Desire (1966)” and “Kaleidoscope (1966).In 1968, he co-starred with Serge Gensbourg in the movie “The Slogan,” and then began a personal relationship with his long-term work.Their debut album, Jane Birkin/Serge Gainsbourg (1969), was then released, and in 1976 they appeared in the controversial film “Love” directed by Gensbourg. In addition, he will also perform various film activities as an actor, including “The Nile Murder” (1978) and “The Devil of Daylight” (1982), which made a movie based on Christie’s mystery novel.
